About the Event
Know Your Rights: Community Education & Preparedness Workshop
As immigration enforcement activity increases across the country, understanding your constitutional rights has never been more important. This informative and practical presentation will help community members, workers, families, faith leaders, and business owners learn what their rights are — and how to confidently exercise them — in everyday situations.
Together, we will explore what your rights look like at home, on the street, in workplaces and businesses, in houses of worship, and throughout the community. Participants will learn how to recognize the difference between a valid warrant and an invalid one, what to do if immigration agents approach, and how to protect themselves, their employees, their parishioners, and their neighbors while remaining calm and informed.
Fear and misinformation thrive when people feel unprepared. By learning together, advocates and community members can replace panic with knowledge, support, and practical action. Join…
