About the Event

Join us for a special presentation by the Youth and Family Project in partnership with the Germantown Community Coalition. You will learn about the challenges facing LGBTQ+ youth today and how we can be more supportive and affirming of their full authentic selves. Come learn, ask questions, and get to know others in our community with open minds and hearts.

According to the 2022 Trevor Project Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health, 45% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year. That same survey reported significantly lower rates of attempted suicide in communities that are accepting of their LGBTQ community members. We know together we can be a supportive and welcoming community!

Designed for middle schoolers to adults, this program can be an excellent way to demonstrate acceptance and allow for communication about respect in families.
