The Importance of Intercultural Communication:

A critical difficulty we face in our organizations and schools is that communication misunderstandings, conflicts, and problems across cultures are often grounded in very different approaches people take for resolving difficulties with one another. Recognizing and effectively responding to cultural differences in communication and conflict styles is critically important. In this workshop participants will learn about the importance of demonstrating vulnerability and transparency in leadership and acquire skills to have brave conversations about sensitive topics. This interactive workshop offers engaging dialogue, opportunities for meaningful reflection, and actionable takeaways. This workshop experience will deepen your knowledge and skills of inclusive leadership practices such as establishing community agreements, having and facilitating courageous conversations across cultures, demonstrating vulnerability and transparency in leadership.
