What makes Disney World so magical? Well, I'd say inclusion is a big part of it. My family is all about the rides, especially the exciting roller coaster based off the movie TRON. When I went to get on this unique ride's "motorcycle" seats, the safety latches didn't fit over my calves.
As a plus-sized person my entire life, I've encountered literally not “fitting in” before, but it never gets easy. Since my body wouldn't fit safely, I was about to dismount and just wait at the exit for my family. I must have said something like "oh well, where do I wait?" The Disney cast member said, "Oh no, we will just have you ride back here." There was no judgement when he showed me a "typical" lap bar cart in the back of the train. It is designed for anyone that can't fit the motorcycle seating. This could be individuals like me, those who are extremely tall, or anyone using ambulatory aids.

When our family went to ride the TRON lightcycle run again later in the day, I knew I would be included and not left out due to my size. My day was blessed by a small design that makes a huge difference to many patrons each day.
Inclusion is letting everyone experience the fun. Inclusion is so many small things in society that you or I may not even notice, but mean the world to someone else.
Thanks Mickey for your inclusivity!
